Job Description:
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Vanderbilt University
Medical Center is seeking board-certified/board eligible
hematologist-oncologists for melanoma and lung cancer. The
individuals selected will be academically oriented and appointed to
the full-time faculty as either an Assistant or Associate Professor
in the School of Medicine at Vanderbilt University. The successful
candidate(s) will have experience in caring for patients with
melanoma or lung cancer, with interest and/or experience conducting
clinical trials in these diseases. Junior faculty and new
fellowship graduates will join the faculty and receive dedicated
mentoring in clinical research, and experienced clinical
researchers (Associate Professor level) will have opportunities to
mentor junior faculty and fellows in these areas. The selected
individual(s) will work closely with the Chief of the Division of
Hematology/Oncology and disease group section leader to further
develop a clinical trial portfolio, and conduct clinical and
translational research. For melanoma candidates, there is potential
to rise to melanoma group section leader. The ideal candidate(s)
will be a dedicated clinician, clinical researcher, who would enjoy
participating in a robust training program of residents and
fellows, and growing to a top-notch research program in melanoma or
