Analyst, Financial ReportingUS-KY-OwensboroJob ID: 2025-2791Type: Full-Time# of Openings: 1Category: Accounting/FinanceOwensboroOverviewThis position is responsible for various assigned roles in meeting the Company's internal and external reporting requirements in accordance with company policy, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Roles would include, but are not limited to, the gathering of data, preparation of financials and narratives, distribution of reports, analyzing accounts and corresponding with internal and external professionals. Reporting requirements include, but are not limited to, the Company's officers, equity investors, debt holders, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Handles a moderate to complex range of assignments requiring the use of accounting knowledge. This position works independently on assignments with minimal oversight and can advise the work of other personnel on assigned financial reporting related projects.ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities include (but not limited to): Prepares and reviews quarterly/annual financial filings in accordance with GAAP for all reporting entities of the CompanyPrepares and reviews the FERC's quarterly/annual forms filings (e.g., Form 2 and Form 3Q)Prepares and reviews information included in the quarterly financial filingsPrepares monthly internal financial reports, including the closing of the general ledger for all reporting entities of the Company with limited supervisionCompiles data necessary to prepare journal entries for month-end closePrepares the FERC's and Company's quarterly/annual forms filings (e.g., Form 2 and Form 3Q)Prepares, reviews, and files the Form 5500 for the Company's benefit plans and assists in obtaining information to file the IRS annual Form 990Functions as a subject matter expert for accounting policies/procedures/practices of the CompanyPrepares and/or reviews account analyses for all reporting entities of the CompanyPrepares and/or reviews quarterly debt compliance calculationsPrepares ad-hoc reports as neededAssists in the research of FERC/GAAP/SEC accounting principles as requiredAssists in implementing procedures for changes in GAAP or FERC requirementsImplements process improvements as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field6+ years of experience Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel)Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Preferred:CPA LicenseAdvanced degree in accounting or related fieldExperience using Oracle Fusion Financials and/or SmartviewExperience using F&A productsExperience in mid-size (100-999) employee organization with geographically dispersed officesExperience applying GAAP and FERC RegulationsCompensation details: 71625-107438 Yearly SalaryPIb88fd40743b8-25660-37581385
