With PurposeChancelight Autism Services, a growing, dynamic organization with a social mission to offer hope, is seeking an individual to join our family.Behavior Technicians are responsible for assisting behavior analysts to implement behavior reductionand skill acquisition treatment plans. The candidate will assist patients with day-to-day activities,monitor their behavior, record and collect data on patients' progress, and communicate with clients.Other duties may include clerical and administrative duties.To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy and discretion in yourwork. You should have excellent communication and time management skills and be able to developand maintain relationships with clients, supervisors and colleagues. Prior experience in a behavioralhealth setting is preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited tothe following:Provide a minimum of 15 clinical direct support hours to clients per weekAssist in the implementation of behavior treatment and instructional plans utilizing ABAprinciples in clinical, home, and/or community settingProvide direct care to clients in a one-on-one therapy in a home or clinic setting to implementskill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the Program Supervisor.Implement and report data on programs such as client's self-help skills, behavioralmanagement, social skills and academic areasCollaborate, communicate and assist with the training of clients, parents and staff.Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.Implements the client's behavioral plan as developed by the Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA).Collect and analyze skill acquisition and behavior data, with oversight and supervision providedby a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).Maintain ongoing communication with the parent regarding child's progress and plan of careMaintain strict confidentiality.Confer with members of ABA therapy staff and other team members, individually and in aconference, to exchange, discuss, client information for planning, modifying, and coordinatingtreatment programs.Complete billing sheet accordingly to insurance codes authorized and submit in the designatedtime frame.Communicate through checking voicemail and email regularly.Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.May need to all work shifts to include, mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required.Bachelor or Associate Degree in a behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology,Special Education or related field preferred.Registered Behavioral Technician Certification issued by the BACB or the ability to acquirecertification within 45 days of hire date.Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in amulti-disciplinary team setting is preferred.Valid CPR certification and other medical and training requirements as specified by payors (orability to obtain)Valid Drivers License and ability to travel throughout assigned region to client's homes for inhome visits.Knowledge of HIPAA practices and adherence to the policiesWorks with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical CodeAbility to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time on your feet as well as an ability to lift items up to50 lbs on occasion.
