and expertise! Job Summary and Qualifications HealthTrust is
seeking an individual who is passionate about corporate
communications, storytelling and skilled in crafting narratives
that resonate with key audiences. As the Sr. Director of Corporate
Communications, External Communications at HealthTrust Performance
Group, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our brand’s voice and
amplifying our presence across the healthcare industry. In this
dynamic role, you’ll lead strategic executive thought leadership
initiatives, forge strong media relationships and oversee our
external communications infrastructure, including our website and
social media platforms. Your influence will extend beyond
traditional media, as you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding
executive communications, curating content that reflects our
business priorities and company mission and ensuring HealthTrust
shines in industry awards and recognitions. Additionally, you’ll
spearhead our social media strategy, driving engagement and
visibility across digital platforms, while also leading
comprehensive reporting that provides actionable insights on media
trends and marketing initiatives. Youll work hand in hand with our
Director of Internal Communications on message consistency across
channels, creating a unified and cohesive narrative for the
organization. We’re looking for a seasoned communications leader
with a strategic mindset and deep expertise in media relations,
executive communications and content creation. In this role, you
won’t just manage communications—you’ll be a key architect in
crafting and delivering the narratives that define HealthTrust’s
impact and success, ensuring our message is consistent, compelling
and impactful. What you will do in this role: • Must be an
experienced, strong business corporate communications writer with
extensive experience writing for executives, media and other
external audiences. • Collaborate with strategic marketing team to
develop and execute thought leadership strategies that elevate the
organizations profile. • Identify and create platforms for
executives to share expertise, including speaking engagements,
media interviews and industry publications • Lead the development
and dissemination of press releases, ensuring alignment with
organizational messaging and strategic goals. • Track the impact
and effectiveness of press releases, providing regular reports and
insights to leadership. • Serve as the primary media spokesperson,
managing media inquiries and facilitating executive interviews. •
Cultivate relationships with key media contacts to ensure favorable
coverage and accurate representation of the organization. • Partner
with Strategic Marketing to amplify marketing campaigns and
initiatives. - Act as the media liaison for business lines,
ensuring consistent company messaging across all strategic
marketing campaigns. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to
align external communications with business objectives. • Oversee
the relationship with the PR agency, ensuring effective
collaboration and alignment with communication goals. • Manage the
PR agency budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and
alignment with strategic priorities. • Oversee content updates and
management of the HealthTrust website, ensuring it serves as a
robust communication tool. • Manage the newsroom section, keeping
content current and relevant to key audiences. • Lead the
development and execution of HealthTrusts social media strategy,
ensuring alignment with overall strategic marketing goals. •
Oversee content creation, scheduling and engagement across social
media platforms to enhance brand visibility and foster engagement.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics, adjusting strategies
to optimize performance and engagement. • Develop presentation and
run-of-show documents for the President & CEO at annual conference
(HTU), ensuring clear and effective communication during key
events. • Manage external executive communications, including
speeches, statements and official correspondence. • Lead and manage
various communications projects that arise in response to current
events, industry news or major organizational developments. •
Quickly develop and execute communication strategies that align
with timely events or emerging trends, ensuring HealthTrust’s voice
is relevant and responsive. • Collaborate with cross-functional
teams to address urgent communication needs, ensuring messaging is
accurate, consistent and impactful across all platforms. • This
position is office-based, providing valuable in-person
collaboration with your team. Remote work is permitted on occasion,
with the leader’s approval. What qualifications you will need: •
Degree in communication or related field: English, journalism,
public relations, marketing or healthcare management. An advanced
degree is preferred, required • 12 years in communications or
public relations required; similar responsibilities within a
healthcare organization or a group purchasing organization is
ideal, required • 12 years of experience in a senior management
role either in-house corporate communications or with a
communications/PR agency, required • Deep experience working with
executive-level and team leads across the organization, required •
Ability to work with subject matter experts and capacity to grasp
complex business subjects and effectively translate the material
into effective deliverables, required • Work independently and
collaboratively, and communicate effectively in both written and
verbal form, required • Superior management skills. Handle multiple
projects simultaneously, required • Advanced proficiency in
writing, editing, proofreading and formatting. Expert at AP style
guidelines, required • Proficiency in writing content for
executives, required • Occasional/ Intermittent Travel required In
