team through our employee recognition programs Job Description:EssentialMust assist all operating team members to insure optimum equipment operations.Must be able to lift material up to a weight of 50 lbs and have the ability to operate the hoist for heavier items.Must have mechanical ability to be able to troubleshoot equipment.
Must be able to determine why it is not functioning properly, what needs to be done to correct the problem, and the best means of correction.Must be able to physically stand, stoop, bend, twist, turn, climb, and reach overhead.
Repetitive motion often required.Must be able to respond to equipment breakdowns and failures on the line with a minimum of down time.Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude as all candidates will be subject to skills testing.Must be able to work in high ambient temperatures.Must have required tools (list is available).Must be willing to further mechanical and electrical training by additional schooling and participation in Maintenance Technician Progression Plan.Maintains a clean work environment.Notifies Maintenance, Group Manager and/or your Team Leader of any repairs or adjustments that are required.Understands, observes, and complies with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.Performs all duties necessary to meet Government and Regulatory, SQF Institute, Co- Manufacturers and Company requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.Informs Line Manager, Group Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.Identifies and records any problems relating to food safety and the quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety and quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as EssentialPossesses a thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP's and safety policies.Effectively communicates with others.Able to lift 50 lbs. in weight above shoulder level.Possesses the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.Possesses the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
