Jackson Purchase Medical CenterDescription - ExternalJOB SUMMARY -Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReview and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division Policies and Procedures -Qualifications - ExternalJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum EducationX--- Master's Degree --- Preferred X--- Required -Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
