Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services

Hopkinsville, KY

Description: As a full time, exempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services at Jenny Stewart Medical Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the specialty pharmacy and retail service lines within the health system. This includes overseeing the integration of specialty pharmacy practice within the hospital system by coordinating resources to provide maximum level of services to patients and the customer. Managing sites finances and participate in departmental budget preparation. Responsibility for expense and revenue performance of specialty pharmacies within the health system.

Schedule: This position is full time and will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday during the day shift.

About the Facility: Jennie Stuart Health is an acute-care hospital licensed for 194 beds. They are a private, not-for-profit community hospital now serving over 100 years. Jennie Stuart Health's primary service area is Christian, Trigg and Todd counties. The secondary service area includes Caldwell, Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties in Kentucky, and Montgomery County in Tennessee. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of the Specialty pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Kentucky Pharmacist licensure active and in good standing
  • 5+ years of experience in a retail and/or specialty pharmacy
  • 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy supervisory position in a hospital or retail setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Good communications skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
