By joining the Project Development Branch/Design Section in
McCracken County as an Engineer-In-Training II, you will have the
opportunity to perform intermediately complex engineering work to
obtain and develop professional engineering techniques; reviews,
analyzes and performs the intermediately complex engineering
activities; and performs other duties as required. (Engineering
decisions by positions of this class must be reviewed and approved
by a Licensed Professional Engineer.)
Holders of the Engineer-In-Training II position will complete tasks
- Plans and designs highway projects.
- Reviews and interprets departmental plans, specifications,
drawings, and standards.

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with an
accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of
engineering experience in addition to that required for
certification as an Engineer- In-Training I.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree
in engineering will substitute for one year of the required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION,
ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to
appointment in this classification. Certification as an
Engineer-In-Training recognized by the State Board of Licensure for
