Carries out daily duties as assigned in the department. Reports
to the Department Director or Lead Person. Performs routine
assigned duties in a timely manner and according to specific
detailed written procedures. Must be capable of independent
decision making during emergency or unusual situations. Must
comprehend oral/written communications well enough to follow
instructions and communicate effectively with all departments
throughout the facility. Assumes responsibilities and
accountability for own practice in keeping with Henry County
Healthcare Centers policies and procedures. Attend and participate
in continuing education programs per facility/departmental
EDUCATION & TRAINING: Skill and proficiency in the field of
food, beverage, and supply purchasing and storage as normally
acquired through completion of high school education or
Knowledge of ethnic, religious, and cultural requirements
relating to food habits and nutrition needs as required for
procurement purposes. Ability to operate food service equipment and
machinery and to evaluate service and maintenance requirements.
Knowledge of basic computer and internet use.
EXPERIENCE Knowledge of food, beverage, and supply purchasing
and storage as normally acquired through three years of related
food service experience. Knowledge of hospital and departmental
policies, computer skills, internet use, diet office software,
standardized menus, and inventory regulation as acquired through
one month of orientation.
