Job Description Job Description Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description The assembly technician will support complex production and warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, assembly, and inventory control. This role requires a proactive approach to training and mentoring team members, performing quality checks, and troubleshooting issues to ensure product accuracy and compliance with specifications. Responsibilities Train and mentor team members on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure product accuracy and compliance with specifications. Operate and maintain warehouse systems for inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and reporting. Coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet production goals and resolve material or workflow issues. Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices and assist with cycle counts and audits. Promote and uphold a safe work environment through regular safety checks and participation in training. Essential Skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Sphere WMS, LXE). Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and production workflows. Ability to lead by example, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a team setting. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred. 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment. Work Environment The work environment involves operating and maintaining warehouse systems such as SAP and WMS for effective inventory tracking and order fulfillment. Team members are expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of La Vergne, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
