Job Description:
The Westly Group, a pioneering venture capital firm focused on
clean technology and sustainable solutions, is seeking a Corporate
Counsel to support our dynamic legal team. This role entails
providing legal guidance on various business activities, ensuring
compliance with the laws and regulations, and handling a diverse
range of legal matters. You will work closely with stakeholders
across the company to foster and maintain the firm's commitment to
positive environmental and societal impact. Provide legal advice
and guidance on business transactions, corporate governance,
compliance issues, and potential legal risks. Negotiate, draft, and
review company contracts and agreements. Ensure compliance with all
federal, state, and local laws affecting the firm’s operations.
Advise on legal issues relating to venture capital investments,
intellectual property rights, and employment law. Liaise with
external counsel on specialized legal matters. Assist in developing
the company’s corporate policies and procedures. Engage actively in
corporate decision-making processes. Strong ability to negotiate
and draft contracts. Expertise in compliance and regulations within
financial and corporate sectors. Proficient in litigation
management. Knowledge of intellectual property laws, corporate
finance, and employment laws. Excellent analytical, communication,
and presentation skills. Medical Insurance 401k Licensed to
practice law in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Bar membership
in good standing.
