Job Description The Department of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center
(VUMC) is dedicated to recruiting highly skilled Physiatrists into
our faculty which is committed to advancing human health through
cutting-edge research, personalized medicine and academic
excellence. We are a rapidly growing Division, and as a result, are
recruiting into the following areas: - Spine and Musculoskeletal
Specialist: PM&R MD/DO candidates are sought to join a rapidly
multidisciplinary spine program in the middle Tennessee market.
Faculty are needed to evaluate and treat patients with spine
conditions, including interventional procedures. NASS-recognized
spine fellowship graduates or appropriate experience is needed.
This role could also include integration of the Department in the
VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System if appropriate. - Pain
Medicine Specialist: Seeking board-certified or board-eligible
MD/DO PM&R pain medicine specialists to join a
multi-disciplinary pain medicine group in the middle Tennessee
market. - Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist: Seeking
board-certified or board-eligible MD/DO pediatric rehabilitation
medicine physicians to join a rapidly expanding Pediatric
Rehabilitation service. Multiple areas of need exist, and strong
candidates will have a clear desire or track record of academic
excellence. - General Rehabilitation Specialist: Seeking PM&R
MD/DO candidates for multiple areas of rehabilitation medicine,
including outpatient care, consults and inpatient coverage.
Specific areas of need include limb loss and electrodiagnostic
medicine. - Brain Injury (BI) Specialist: Growth opportunities
exist in Brain Injury including TBI/Polytrauma, Stroke, Brain Tumor
and Headache Management. This role could also include integration
of the Department in the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System if
appropriate. - Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders (SCI/D) Specialist:
Seeking PM&R MD/DO candidates for a growing SCI service.
Primary needs are in the outpatient setting, but the potential
exists for inpatient work and consults. - Cancer Rehab Specialist:
Seeking PM&R MD/DO candidates for growing cancer rehab
services. Multiple sub-specializations are needed. Strong
candidates will have a clear desire or track record of academic
