Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in the dynamic heart
of Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Nurse Extern to join our Surgical Department. This full-time role
provides an invaluable opportunity for nursing students who are in
the last year of their program to gain hands-on experience and
mentorship in a comprehensive healthcare setting. The role
encompasses supporting the nursing staff and enhancing the patient
care experience while adhering to hospital standards and
procedures. This position is pivotal for those aspiring to make a
substantial impact in healthcare by working alongside a team
committed to excellence and personalized care. Assist registered
nurses and the healthcare team in the delivery of patient care.
Participate in patient assessments and gather vital signs. Help
manage patient records and charting using hospital information
systems. Support patients by providing comfort, transportation, and
assistance with hygiene. Prepare and maintain patient environments,
including setting up equipment and supplies. Observe and report
changes in patient conditions and safety concerns to healthcare
professionals. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare
protocols. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using healthcare information systems. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or must be obtained
within 90 days of employment.
