Job Description:
Ascension, a leader in faith-based healthcare, is seeking a
dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Main
Operating Room team. This role is pivotal in our mission to provide
compassionate, personalized care through innovative practices. As a
Certified Surgical Technologist, you will work in a dynamic
environment, supporting surgeons and other medical professionals in
life-saving procedures while adhering to the highest standards of
safety and cleanliness. Your expertise will contribute directly to
patient care, ensuring all surgical equipment is functioning
optimally and that the operating room is prepared for a variety of
surgical procedures. Prepare and organize the operating room
equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various
surgical procedures. Assist surgical team in all phases of the
operation, ensuring a safe and effective patient care environment.
Maintain strict sterile field during surgical procedures to prevent
infection. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to use
equipment and supplies efficiently. Manage the inventory of
supplies and perform checks on surgical tools and equipment to
ensure functionality. Educate and support patients and their
families by providing relevant information and compassionate care
before and after surgery. Proven ability to maintain a sterile
field and adhere to safety guidelines. Strong organizational skills
and ability to prepare operating rooms quickly between surgeries.
Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with
surgeons and medical staff. Capability to handle high-stress
situations with professionalism and calm. Medical Insurance Dental

Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and
Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification.
