TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Nurse Board Runner to become part of our respected healthcare team focused on delivering high-quality and compassionate care in our state-of-the-art surgical facilities. This specialized nursing position requires managing the operating room schedule, coordinating between surgeons, staff, and departments to ensure efficiencies, and maintaining an optimal level of care in preoperative settings. Manage the daily operating room schedule to ensure timely surgical procedures. Act as the central communication link between surgery staff, departments, and external parties. Prepare and update the operating room for surgeries and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functioning. Assist in implementing and adhering to health, safety, and infection control standards within the operating room. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Oversee and train junior staff and contribute to educational programs. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. In-depth knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols. Proficiency in using medical software for scheduling and documentation. Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments. Leadership and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse licensure with a specialization in surgical nursing desirable. BLS/ACLS certification required.
