Job Description:

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, located in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our dynamic team in the progressive care unit (PCU). In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but who aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. As a PCU nurse at TriStar StoneCrest, you will handle conditions that require complex assessments, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. Assess the health condition of patients and monitor vital signs. Administer and adjust medications as necessary. Implement patient care plans and conduct continuous monitoring for any changes in patient conditions. Educate and update patients and their families on medical treatments and care planning. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Ensure all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met. Utilize advanced technology and tools specific to progressive care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Patient assessment and monitoring Medication administration Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in TN or a compact state Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
