Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, situated in the vibrant heart
of Nashville, Tennessee, seeks an experienced and dedicated Cardiac
Prep PACU Nurse to join our premier cardiology department. As a key
member of our healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in
preparing and recovering cardiac surgery patients, ensuring the
highest level of care and safety procedures. This role requires a
deep commitment to patient care, comprehensive knowledge of cardiac
recovery protocols, and the ability to manage both critical and
routine post-anesthesia care. Assess patient condition before and
after cardiac surgery, providing immediate postoperative care
Monitor vital signs, detect complications, and administer
medications as prescribed Support patient recovery, educate about
post-surgical care, and coordinate with healthcare teams for
comprehensive treatment plans Maintain detailed patient records and
report directly to the healthcare practitioner regarding any
changes in status Implement best practices in nursing care and
adhere to safety guidelines and regulations Strong clinical skills
in a PACU environment Excellent patient assessment capabilities
Proficiency in administering medications and managing patient
recovery Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate
effectively Knowledge of cardiac care procedures and post-surgical
recovery Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certification Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
certification preferred
