Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a leader in comprehensive
healthcare in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Hospital Laboratory Director to oversee our
state-of-the-art laboratory services. This pivotal role is
responsible for managing laboratory operations, ensuring the
accuracy of test results, and upholding the highest standards of
compliance and safety. The successful candidate will lead a team of
dedicated professionals in providing critical diagnostic services
that support a wide range of medical departments, including
emergency care, oncology, and cardiology. Oversee the daily
operations of the hospital laboratory, including staff management,
budgeting, and administration. Ensure all laboratory procedures and
activities comply with regulations and standards set by accrediting
bodies. Implement quality control procedures to enhance accuracy
and safety of test results. Collaborate with other department heads
to integrate laboratory services with overall hospital operations.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for laboratory
testing. Guide, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel to ensure
professional growth and adherence to industry standards. Stay
updated with advances in laboratory techniques, technology, and
best practices to improve service quality and efficiency. Strong
leadership and organizational skills Expertise in laboratory
management and operations Proficiency in using laboratory
information systems Knowledge of regulatory requirements and
accreditation standards Excellent communication and interpersonal
