Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,843 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37207! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS certification Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a PCU setting. The unit has 20 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. There is tech support available on both day and night shifts, with an unit secretary present from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The equipment used includes IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Oximetry Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and communication technology. Documentation is done using a specific system. The scheduling requirement is for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) in a 4-week schedule. Contract labor staff are the first to float, followed by rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled. The expected patient experience includes providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families. Bedside shift reporting and the ability to make personal connections with patients and include them in their care plan are essential. The unit has specific guidelines and policies. Recognition and awards for the department may be available as well.
