Ascension is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead RN for our General Surgery department to join our mission-driven healthcare team. In this role, you will lead a team of nursing professionals, ensuring the highest quality of care and integrating our values of holistic health into every patient interaction within our General Surgery unit. Oversee daily operations of the General Surgery department. Ensure all nursing activities adhere to legal regulations and standards of nursing care. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to coordinate surgical processes. Monitor patient care for quality. Oversee patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing staff, promoting professional growth. Manage departmental staffing, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Implement new policies and improvements within the department. Advanced knowledge of general surgery procedures and care. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically and make decisions in high-pressure situations. Proficient in using healthcare software and systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
