Weeks of Contract to FTE Location: Nashville, TN Shift Timing: 3rd/
3am-11:30am Tuesday-Saturday Required Skills: •/tEmbedding
experience. •/tMicrotomy experience •/tCut 35 blocks/hour, Embed 35
Blocks/hour •/tASCP or HT Cert Preferred. Summary: •/tThe main
function of a Histotechnologist is to perform complex medical
laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
disease. Job Responsibilities: •/tAnalyze laboratory findings to
check the accuracy of the results. •/tMay analyse samples of
biological material for chemical content or reaction. •/tCultivate,
isolate, and assist in identifying microbial organisms, and perform
various tests on these microorganisms. •/tConduct clinical trials
of pharmaceuticals. •/tOperate, calibrate and maintain equipment
used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as
spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and
computer-controlled analyzers. Skills: •/tVerbal and written
communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving
skills. •/tAbility to work independently and manage one time.
•/tKnowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose
and treat human injuries and diseases. •/tKnowledge of Good
Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human
clinical trials) and local regulations. •/tAbility to analyze data
and accurately document and record results. Education/Experience:
•/tBachelor’s Degree required. •/tOver 5 years of embedding and
