Job Description:

Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN-Operating Room to join our faith-based healthcare network. This role involves providing essential surgical care, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, and optimizing health outcomes in a state-of-the-art medical environment. Assess, plan and implement care strategies for patients undergoing surgery. Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a successful surgical outcome. Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications during surgery as needed. Provide post-operative care, including wound care and pain management. Ensure all operating room equipment and instruments are prepared pre-surgery and maintained properly post-surgery. Strictly adhere to and promote all safety and infection control standards. Educate patients and their families on postoperative home care requirements. Strong practical skills in patient health monitoring and nursing care before, during, and after surgery. Ability to operate and manage surgical room equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. CNOR certification is advantageous but not required.
