Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on 26-bed medical surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:6 or team nursing 1:9 • Schedule includes every other weekend requirement • May float to other medical surgical units as needed • Work with Alaris IV pumps and document using Meditech system • Unit staffed with charge nurse, unit secretary on day shifts, and 2 PCTs • Required to perform hourly purposeful rounds, use AIDET communication, and participate in mandatory bedside shift report • Must have positive attitude, ability to work well with others, good time management skills, and effective communication abilities • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • Dress code requires Royal, Galaxy, Pewter Gray, or White scrubs • Work in unit with high employee engagement scores, low turnover, and strong administrative support for maintaining patient ratios Facility: This healthcare facility operates a distinguished medical surgical unit that has received multiple Unit of Distinction awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017, with honorable mention in 2018.
