Pay Information $1,830 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: COVID Vaccine Description: Number of Beds: 36 Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5 Unit staffing description includes a secretary every day and PRN techs. Type of equipment includes PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps. Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements include 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block. Floating policy: Staff may float over core staff as necessary. Patient Experience requirements include bedside shift report, safety checks every 1-2 hours, with a focus on communication and responsiveness. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic patient assessments and general care. Responsibilities include the maintenance of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures. The patient population may require dialysis or PCA pumps; only Heparin will be administered. Post-Operative procedures on unit include amputations, ostomy procedures, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs. Dress code consists of navy, blue, white, black, gray, and ceil blue scrubs. Unit guidelines and policies include HAI prevention, CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions, as well as fall prevention. Participation in medication scanning, including controlled substances, is expected. Attendance policies are in place to ensure reliability. The team is characterized by great teamwork and a youthful approach, aimed at completing tasks to enhance patient outcomes.
