Job Summary and Qualifications This is 36 bed high acuity unit that cares for a variety of surgical patients form general surgery, gastrointestinal, head/neck, and vascular. This unit develops nurses to have broad range of knowledge, become experts in post-op, recovery, and master all nursing skills. The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. What you will do in this role: - As Med-Surg RN, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. - In this role, you will use therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. - You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. - You will plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. - You will participate in performance improvement activities. - You will provide care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. What qualifications you will need: - Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing - Current RN licensure (or eligible) - 1 year clinical experience preferred - CPR certificate TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740 bed comprehensive facility.
