Job Description:
Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty:
Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse
License Certifications: BLS ALS EKG Interpretation Must-Have:
Experience with Post-Op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac
patient population. Knowledge of cardiac drips/titrations and
electrolyte replacement. Experience with management of Chest Tubes,
Epicardial Pacing Wires, and TR Bands. Description: Unit has 33
beds and a patient ratio of 3:1/4:1. Unit secretaries are available
Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM. Nurse externs are
available at times. Documentation system is Meditech. Scheduling
requirements include working every other weekend and a 36-hour
workweek. Staff will fill scheduling needs. Floating policy
indicates the first to float. Patient experience requirements focus
on pain management, communication, and responsiveness. Unit
procedures performed are not applicable. Dress code requires scrubs
in Galaxy Blue, Red, and Black. Unit-specific policies and
guidelines will be provided on orientation day. Additional
information about new equipment or technology, mix of experience
among staff, and teamwork will be available.
