Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Cardiac Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in Cardiac Critical Care preferred
License: Valid state licensure Certifications: NIHSS Certified,
ACLS Must-Have: IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience preferred
Description: Shift: Nights Unit: Cardiac Intensive Care Job
details: Can float to stepdown with a 1:4 patient ratio. 2 years of
Cardiac Critical Care experience required; this unit sees high
acuity level patients. NIHSS and ACLS certifications are required.
2 years of critical care experience is preferred, with 1 year of
travel experience preferred. Orientation is conducted on Mondays.
Must be NIHSS certified with a current certificate on file,
obtained within 2 years of the start date. Familiarity with stroke
signs and symptoms competency is required. Minimum of 1 year of
experience working in a certified stroke center critical care unit
is preferred. Knowledge of current stroke guidelines and
performance measures for acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes is
necessary. Competency in IV-tPA administration and post-tPA
monitoring is needed. Meditech experience preferred but not
required.
