Job Description:

qualified PCU RN in Hermitage, Tennessee, 37076! Pay Information
$1,833 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License:
Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and EKG rhythm
certification required Must-Have: Neuro & Cardiac experience
Description: The unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 4:1 during
days and 5:1 during nights. The staffing on the unit includes 1
Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 6-7 Registered Nurses, 2 Technicians,
and 1 Unit Secretary. Types of equipment utilized include Alaris
Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, and
Pyxis. Documentation is done using the Meditech system. Full-time
employees work 36 hours a week and are required to work every 3rd
weekend. Part-time employees work 24 hours a week with every 3rd
weekend commitment. PRN staff is expected to work 3 shifts a month,
with one shift falling on a weekend. Travelers and contract staff
work 36 hours and are required to work every other weekend. Float
staff operates on a rotating system to meet the needs of the
facility. Responsibilities include triaging acute care patients and
identifying life-threatening rhythms. The unit performs procedures
such as glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes,
EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis. The dress code requires black scrubs
for Registered Nurses, royal blue for Technicians, and gray for
Unit Secretaries. Closed-toed shoes are required, and crocs are not
permitted. The unit recently received the Daisy Award for Nurses
and the BEE Award for Technicians for outstanding performance.
