Description - External JOB SUMMARY Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family. Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services. Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division Policies and Procedures Qualifications - External JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education X Master's Degree Preferred X Required Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: X Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced X ASHA American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Licenses: Speech Language Pathologist with the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Commonwealth of Kentucky.
