OBJECTIVES -What are the key objectives and expectations from this
role? -The Health and Safety Specialist Role is an extremely
important part of the Reynolds EHS Team and offers career growth
opportunities. - The position provides Health and Safety Training
to employees and is essential to keeping Reynold's sites in
compliance with Health and Safety Regulations. - -Reports to: -Sr
Manager EHS - - - - - - - - - - - - - Core Relationships: -Internal
-- Manufacturing and other Operations' team leaders
External-Vendors and external auditing or regulatory entities - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - Geographic Scope: -Local -WHAT YOU WILL BE
ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Assist in the development and deployment of company's Health
and Safety programs and standards as applicable
- Accountable for the execution of Health and Safety programs
such as but not limited to: Recordkeeping and Reporting, LOTO,
HAZCOM, PPE, Industrial Vehicle Safety, Working at Heights, Walking
and Working Surfaces, Confined Space, Asbestos, Laser and Radiation
Safety.
- Conduct injury and near-miss investigations and root cause
analysis to foster a zero-injury safety culture
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to
ensure regulatory compliance and to increase proficiency in safe
practices and promote safety consciousness
- Support and facilitate site safety committee
- Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety
risks and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly or
monthly inspections and audits
- Assist in training and the facilitation of the emergency
response team.
- Support the facility EHS team to foster a caring culture where
Health and Safety are ingrained as a core value.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement within Health and
Safety programs to eliminate unnecessary complexities and drive
overall efficiency while maintaining full compliance.
- Assist with the management of the facilities' Safety Data Sheet
(SDS) management system and accident reporting system.
- Develop periodic safety communications for various aspects of
the company
- Coordinate non-hazardous waste disposal shipments
- Assist with maintaining required EHS data, documents, and files

- Are you comfortable with presenting in front large groups of
people?
- Do you have experience performing safety investigation to
include 5 Why Accident Analysis -ESSENTIALExperience Required
- Manufacturing operations experience preferred
- Experience in conducting inspections, audits, and ability to
multitask
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Able to adapt to business needs as situations arise without
compromising compliance -Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills
Required
- Strong analytical skills, specifically utilizing Excel
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication
skills
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Ability to work multiple shifts as needed -Education /
Qualifications / Certifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant work
experience or Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or
related field
- Manufacturing operations experience preferred -BENEFICIAL
- Radiation Safety experience preferred
- DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials Shipping experience preferred
- Fall Arrest experience preferred -COMPENSATION/TARGETED BONUS
