Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY -Responsible for overseeing daily operations of
Quality & Risk Management. Responsible for ensuring the hospital
meets Joint Commission, CMS, State and other regulatory
requirements. Responsible for overseeing and guiding Performance
Improvement Processes. Serves as Patient Safety Lead & Policy Stat
Administrator. -ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -Collaborates with nurse
managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of
staff.Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and
curriculums related to clinical competencies,
departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and
the use of clinical information technologies.Serves as a
consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development,
clinical practice, and professional development. Participates in
the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff
orientation and education activities.Functions as Facility's
Patient Safety Officer.Collaborates with Directors/Administration
for Performance Improvement initiatives. Oversees Joint Commission
preparation for facility.Oversees Risk Management functions for
facility. Responsible for communicating with stakeholders,
documenting and reporting on risk and adverse circumstances, and
creating processes, policies, and procedures for responding to,
managing, & mitigating risk and uncertainty. -Develops and
implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with
the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical
requirement/objectives of the organization.Directs and evaluates
departmental operations, including patient care delivery,
information technologies, service level determination and complaint
management, to achieve performance and quality control
objectives.Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.Creates
and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical
protocols. -JOB REQUIREMENTS -Minimum EducationX Associates degree
requiredX--- Bachelor's Degree Preferred -Required SkillsRequires
critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to
work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful
environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:X--- Basic
Life Support (BLS) --- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS
--- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Licenses: Registered
Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky. 5 years nursing
experience preferred. 1 year nursing management preferred. Previous
