The Associate Director of Supported Living is a pivotal role that
oversees all aspects of the Supportive Living Program and
prioritizes the health, safety and well-being of the youth and
ensures professionalism and safety of staff delivering residential
supports and services. This includes meeting with participants,
families, guardians, and other key stakeholders to explore
opportunities and deliver quality services. The Associate Director
of Supportive Living is responsible for the day-to-day management
of the Supportive Living Program including management of Area
Supervisors, Program Coordinators, House Managers, and Direct
Support Professionals (DSP), leads expansion of new residential
homes, and works closely with other Directors to ensure all aspects
of the programs are met. Additionally, this position is responsible
for coordination with the necessary parties to bring in new
residential intakes, deliver quality services, and maintain
operational and financial stability within the program.
This Associate Director will have a "work from home" office but is
expected to have a presence in the 4 Supported Living homes we
currently have. Directors may also visit corporate office as needed
but it is not required at this time. Additionally this position
requires open availability to handle emergencies as needed. A

Directly responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing

Be a subject matter expert for all rules and regulations that
affect your program.
Establish and ensure the implementation of procedures consistent
with state laws and regulations for youth in DCS custody and people
with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Monitor all program expenditures to ensure the program is staying
within provided monthly budgets. Prepare monthly summaries to
provide overall snapshot, as well as explanation for any budget
discrepancies and extraneous purchases.
Collaborate with direct supervisor on staff compliance, e.g.,
training, documentation, etc.
Responsible for assigned direct reports' performance management and
disciplinary action in accordance with company policy.
Ensure supports are delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in
accordance with relevant company policies and standards.
Assist personnel with problem-solving and decision-making in both a
crisis and day-to-day operations and help develop their skills to
complete these tasks independently.
Ensure performance evaluations are periodically (per company
policy) completed for all direct reports and track due dates to
ensure all are completed in a timely manner.
Identify employees for promotion/advancement opportunities.
Identify the professional and clinical skill development needs of
employees, provides assistance, and training as needed.
Perform unannounced supervisor visits to the supportive living
homes to ensure staff, home, youth, and overall program needs are
being met on a regular basis.
Collaborate with direct supervisor to handle complaints from the
people we serve, providers, staff, and others who interact or have
relationships with the company and conduct investigations as
necessary to determine accuracy of statements and address any
follow-up/retraining issues with personnel.
Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and report status to
direct supervisor with insights on what is working/not working with
recommendations on ways to improve.
Monitor customer service standards and duties performed by
employees, ensuring that they understand and follow rules and
regulations of the program, and are acting in accordance with the
company's person-centered values.
Provide on the job training to residential staff and retrain staff
if discrepancies are identified.
