The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and executing
projects directed toward improving and optimizing existing
processes, as well as new processes and products. This includes
working with multiple groups to ensure projects are executed to
meet SHE, corporate engineering and Wickliffe Plant compliance. How
you will impact Ingevity:
- Scope, estimate and provide economic analysis for capital and
non-capital projects
- Manage capital and non-capital projects to ensure budgets and
schedules are properly met
- Manage field installation of capital projects, including
management of contractors
- Collaborate with Operations group to identify process
improvements and capital projects in support of the plant
productivity, safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, and cost
reduction objectives
- Support, coordinate, and lead efforts related to process safety
(Hazop, PHA, PSSR, and MOC) and environmental compliance
- Support Operations group to help improve reliability,
utilization, yield, and efficiency of existing processes
- Assist Operations group with troubleshooting production
problems related to processes, equipment, quality, and systems
- Be active and engaged in the safety programs of the site to
build and maintain a strong safety culture to achieve zero personal
and process safety incidents What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical
preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a process, project engineering
and/or production capacity, 5 years preferred.
- Proven experience in process and project engineering. Lean
manufacturing, batch and continuous processing experience is highly
desirable
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, problem
solving/troubleshooting skills, and written/verbal communication
skills required
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of
the organization
- The position is in a plant environment and travel is minimal
(less than 10%)
- This role is eligible for relocation.
