a meaningful impact! YOUR IMPACT As a the Middle Tennessee
Community Outreach Health Educator Lead you will provide effective
outreach, delivery, and evaluation of sexuality education programs
to specific community groups and organizations, prioritizing LGBTQ
and BIPOC young people. Essential Functions The Community Outreach
Health Educator delivers high-quality, medically accurate, and
culturally responsive education programs across Middle Tennessee.
This role facilitates professional training, adult education, and
youth leadership programming to expand access to comprehensive sex
education while maintaining fidelity to evidence-based programs as
required. The educator customizes or develops curricula as needed,
conducts outreach to expand services, and supports community
partners in selecting and implementing appropriate education
programs. This position includes lead-level responsibilities,
contributing to program planning, staff support, curriculum
development, data management, and coordination with college
partners and community organizations. WHAT YOU?LL DO Lead
Responsibilities - 20% Plan, facilitate, and evaluate education
programs in partnership with the Director of Education, while also
demonstrating a strong foundation in sexual and reproductive health
knowledge. Collaborate with the Director of Education to empower
and guide Education Staff, offering orientation, training, and
leadership in specific training sessions and team meetings. Manage
communications, meeting planning, and program coordination for the
Middle Tennessee Youth Advisory Board (TYAB) and its community
education initiatives. Lead the scheduling, coordination, and
support of education sessions and trainings with Generation Action
chapters at colleges throughout Tennessee and North Mississippi.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of education sessions,
condom distribution, attendance, and demographic data, and assist
with budget preparation, grant-related activities, data management,
and reporting. Community Outreach Health Educator Responsibilities
(80%): Deliver high-quality, medically accurate, culturally
responsive education on sexuality, reproductive health, and Planned
Parenthood services to community members across Middle Tennessee.
Support the Tennessee Youth Advisory Board (TYAB) by recruiting and
mentoring youth, facilitating monthly meetings (often evenings or
weekends), leading education sessions and youth-driven community
projects, and completing program evaluation activities. Build and
maintain strong, reciprocal relationships with community partners
and stakeholders, prioritizing organizations serving BIPOC and
LGBTQ youth. Represent Planned Parenthood at community events,
health fairs, and Pride Festivals. Coordinate regional condom
distribution to community partners, manage inventory, and track
distribution data. Prepare and distribute educational materials and
respond to community requests for resources. Customize existing
curricula or develop new lesson plans for outreach education and
training efforts using culturally responsive and
technology-supported methods. Complete administrative
responsibilities, including scheduling, data entry, activity
tracking, reporting, and timely communication Maintain professional
and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing
professional publications, and establishing networks. WHAT YOU

Values. Ability to work independently. Willing to work weekends and
evenings, as needed. Knowledge of reproductive health and
sexuality, HIV prevention preferred. Commitment to the goals of
PPTNM and quality healthcare and education.
Education/Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in health, education,
counseling or related area preferred. Experience: Three to four
years of experience as an educator, trainer, and/or working with
youth. Sexual and reproductive health knowledge is required.
Experience with public speaking and health program facilitation
preferred. Experience with outreach, recruitment, and relationship
building preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. WHAT WE
