Preconstruction Estimator – Commercial Healthcare Construction A highly-respected General Contractor in the area with a strong pipeline of work is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to join their growing team. This commercial construction company is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with 5 years of experience in preconstruction and estimating, specifically in healthcare construction . The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is capable of managing multiple preconstruction efforts simultaneously. The Preconstruction Estimator plays a vital role in setting the foundation for successful project delivery—bringing clarity, accuracy, and strategic foresight, particularly in the highly regulated and detailed world of healthcare construction. Preconstruction Estimator Responsibilities: Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates during all phases of design Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and engineers to ensure complete scope coverage Perform quantity take-offs, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and labor/material cost calculations Assist with developing value engineering options and alternative cost scenarios Participate in design meetings, bid reviews, and subcontractor scope reviews Track historical cost data and maintain updated cost databases Support the transition from preconstruction to operations Preconstruction Estimator Qualifications: 5 years of preconstruction/estimating experience in commercial construction with a strong emphasis on healthcare projects Proven experience with conceptual estimating and hard bidding in the healthcare sector Understanding of healthcare construction regulations, codes, and facility requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred Proficient with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, OST, Timberline, or similar) Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills If this sounds like you - apply online or send your resume and project list to hannah.behrens@gogpac.com OR Call/Text (605)601-5546 All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
