Job Description:

Furniture Connection, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Red Knight Distribution Center. This role directly supports the Office Manager, and assists the Operations Manager as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable contacting customers, entering data into systems, working on a team and receiving product from vendors.Our Mission: Our goal is to provide our clients with an unsurpassed home furnishing shopping experience. Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet and ensure all customers picking up items from the Distribution Center (DC) are the proper person to do so. Ensure they sign for their tickets once product is inspected, and they are satisfied with their items to properly close the tickets out.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and phone messages from customers and stores. Receive payments via cash, credit card, and check from customers through the Service Department or Will Call Department.
  • Enter or write up any service requests that are called in from the customer.
  • Route and track all deliveries for customers for Furniture Connection, Inc.
  • Contact scheduled customers daily to notify them of the next day delivery window.
  • Finalize all deliveries and will calls from previous day by 10:00 am daily.
  • Enter data into DOT worksheets, delivery tracker and delivery will call analysis by 12:00 pm daily.
  • Enter data from deliveries and will calls from previous day and send Broken Promise Log report to appropriate personnel.
  • Receive merchandise from vendors and record into Furnserve software.
  • Contact customers to set up deliveries or will calls for product that we have received. Check and print will calls daily. Send out Receiving reports out once finalized to all stores.
  • Ensure all products in the DC and stores are properly labeled and tracked for 100% accountability.
  • Assist the warehouse in unloading and labeling products and ensure completion within 2 hours from the time they arrive at the docks.
  • Assist the Accountability Officer with cycle inventory monthly if needed.
  • Assist in ensuring all Dock-01 and READY items are coded properly and placed in the correct locations in a timely manner.
  • Assist drivers when they phone in requesting assistance during their route, or direct them to appropriate manager.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction calls 2 weeks after delivery/will call.
  • Issue and receive all tool bags. Ensure the inventory in those bags is accurate when they are returned in at end of day.Qualifications:Minimum 1-2 years experience working in warehouse or office setting.High School diploma or equivalent required.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
